Rally Obedience

New Class!!! I am now offering a Rally Obedience class indoors in Cary in a dog training facility on Sunday afternoons from 1:30-2:30. Here is a blurb from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers web site about Rally: "APDT Rally is a fun and exciting team sport for dogs and their handlers! Dog and Handler teams navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform such as Sit, Down, Sit and walk around your dog, Sit-Down-Sit, working up to more complexity such as Straight Figure 8, Send Over Jump, Recall Over Jump. Teams navigate the course at a brisk, continuous performance without direction from the judge. Handlers are encouraged to talk to their dogs during the performance." Rally can be done at a competitive level with several "titles" to be earned. Our current class is for novice Rally teams and is for fun, strong bonding and reinforcement of obedience training.  Everyone attending the class is new to Rally so everyone is learning together. This will be 6 sessions on consecutive Sunday afternoons.  As the teams become more proficient, advanced classes will be added to the schedule.
