Quasar, aka Zar, is our pure bred black lab who is amost ten years old.  A Quasar is the most luminous, powerful, and energetic object known in the universe. He abounds energy and is obsessed with playing with a field trial Kong toy on a rope in our pond in Fuquay Varina.  He is from a line of hunting labs and he definitely inherited the retrieving gene.  Dock Diving in Maine in Sebago Lake is his idea of the perfect vacation each August.  He is a bit of a mama's boy but we love him in spite of himself! He received his Pet Therapy certification and we go once a week to an assisted living facility in Fuquay.  Every Thursday we go to Salem Elementary School with the See Spot Read program where the children read to the dogs.  They love it!

 
Trey is our baby and received his name because he was the third dog at the time that we acquired him.  He is now seven years old and was found as a baby at a boat marina by some friends of ours.  He is a German Shepherd and Lab mix and is our pack watch dog.  He guards our "perimeter" and keeps us on alert to any infiltrators.  He is quite proud of his ability to scare away the UPS man after he makes his delivery.  Little does he know that the UPS man would be on his way with or without his watchful eye.  Trey loves to chase squirrels and bunnies in our one-acre yard and also enjoys a great game of ball.  Both dogs truly love the daily off leash walks in the woods with a creek and a pond. He is seen here on vacation on the shore of Sebago Lake, Maine.
