Robina Thornton is a certified dog trainer and behavior consultant. Robina has been a dog lover all of her life. She trained her first dog when she was only 12 years old and has been training dogs ever since! She has a gift for connecting with animals. They respond to her almost  immediately.  After over 20 years in corporate America in the software industry, she broke free to devote herself to training canines and educating owners to create a positive relationship between them. Robina completed an intensive six months hands-on training to solidify her dog training knowledge.   She graduated from K9 Solutions Academy where she participated in kennel operations, private in-home consults, and group classes. Robina has  a unique approach that she has developed through years of personal experience and research.  
      Robina will teach you how important your body language can be to get your dog to comply and understand your commands. Robina will make sure you have a chance to apply what you are learning throughout the process whether you attend group, semi-private or private sessions.  Robina comments that "Following my passion as a second career is truly a blessing."

Robina is an active member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, a national organization promoting caring relationships between dogs and people by educating trainers in canine behavior and emphasizing professionalism and reward-based training.




Robina volunteers weekly for Saving Grace - Animal Adoptions in Wake Forest helping dogs that are awaiting forever homes.  

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her own dogs and other friends, gardening, traveling, cooking, knitting, and of course eating.
